Translations of Prof. Allais's Notes to the French Academy of Sciences
English: The translations of Prof. Allais's ten Notes to the French Academy of Sciences will appear here in downloadable form, as and when I make them one by one; but it hasn't all happened yet. These notes are the real thing - straight from the horse's mouth - but be warned: they are concise scientific papers, and make no concessions to the casual reader. They give a clear and factual account of how Prof. Allais viewed the progress of his researches at the time - at least, for official presentation - without any later conclusions.
Here are the links with notes as to current availability. As I progress with the translation of each successive Note, its link will come to life. But don't hold your breath... I do have a few other things to do! Watch this URL!
The very valuable photos included with these Notes are already available here.
At the moment FIVE of these ten translations have been done. There remain a few minor translation queries; I solicit help from those more skilled in technical French than myself...
By the way, the caveat about printing on paper sizes other than A4, at the bottom of the page bearing the NASA report, applies to these Notes as well, although not so strongly. Basically, if you are printing them on "letter size" paper as used in the USA, you have to be a bit careful about the pagination. When time permits, I will produce .pdf versions of these documents.
