Next, we present a preliminary report by Dimitrie Olenici upon the pendulum experiments he and colleagues conducted in Romania during the solar eclipse of 8 April 2005 and the subsequent lunar eclipse of 24 April 2005.

And here is a preliminary report by Dimitrie Olenici upon the pendulum experiments he conducted on the island of Borneo, in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, during the solar eclipse of 14 October 2004. Here is the calculated track of the Sun-Moon line during this eclipse, as it intersected the surface of the Earth near Kuching: Dimitrie Olenici and Thomas Goodey present a demonstration with a Foucault pendulum in Kuching in the equatorial zone for Mahathir Mohammed, the ex-prime minister of Malaysia, and five of his Government colleagues. Olenici and Goodey are the two figures on the left, Tun Mahathir is third from the right, and our kind sponsor Philip Yiin of Alom Corporation is at the extreme right. Our exhibition "The Sarawak Pendulum Experiments" can be seen in the background. Dimitrie Olenici's pamphlet "Studies on the Allais and Jeverdan... Effects..." In particular, Fig. IVb merits attention. This is the first time, as far as I know, that anybody ever suggested that an Allais effect might occur at an anti-solar-eclipse point. This concept deserves to be termed the "Olenici Conjecture". Dimitrie Olenici's most recent article (similar name, but different contents): "Studies on the Allais and Jeverdan...
